About Escondido Thai Camp

Meet The Founders

Eddie and Brooke first met in 2008 in Australia. During their time in Australia, they both studied personal training, health and fitness.

By 2014 they had started their own fitness business where they coached HIIT classes and Muay Thai, training a few people to their first bouts. At this time Eddie had fought 5 times.

Eddie and Brooke moved to Thailand in 2015 to pursue a full-time professional fighting career. They both fought as much as they could over a period of 6 years, traveling to different countries and fighting the best in their weight categories. They have both competed in and won prestigious titles, claiming a spot in the world rankings.

At the end of 2019, Eddie and Brooke opened up their own gym in Phuket, but due to the pandemic, decided to sell up and begin their new adventure in Mexico. Now they are the proud owners of Puerto Escondido Thai Camp, attracting world-renowned fighters from all over the world to join them for training camps.

The Facilities

The gym itself mimics the same style as the gym they had in Thailand. Much like their previous gym where you experience pad rounds with top-level coaches. They encourage growth within your own style, and focus on a strong, explosive yet methodical way of fighting.

They’ve paved the way for Muay Thai in Mexico by taking in local and international fighters alike, teaching them to coach in the most efficient way so as they can get the most out of their students. As a result, new students now have the knowledge, experience and opportunity to fight in both amateur and professional bouts on a safe platform.

Eddie and Brooke have also started their own promotion called Rumble in the Jungle, sanctioned by the WBC where they also hold Kard Chuek bouts.
